|This page will be for my 4 door 1979 Chevy Impala SS. I bought it in Sioux City for 1500 cash. It was a one owner 76,000 mile original "gem". It is a green on green color scheme. I love it. It is the only reason I got it. The only things wrong with it were the headliner is sagging in a few spots, the sunvisors are shot, and it was "Turtle Waxed" all the time, it looks like, but waxed dirty, as there is alot if dirt waxed into the paint.
Shortly after I bought the car, the lifters started getting noisier, and noisier. I wanted to put an LT1 in in before I even picked it up, and since the Silverado is just a work in progress, I figured what the hey.
I have installed a Pioneer radio, and Infinity Kappa 3 way 6x9's in the back, I'm working on 4x6's up front.
Wheel and tire combo will more than likely end up being a Torque Thrust II CL205 in an 18x7 and 18x8 combo. This is always changing though, as I find other wheels that look good. This is always the choice I keep coming back to though.
Keep an eye on this page, as I am working on LED front turn signals, marker lights, and brake lights for the 79 SS Impala, and I will also be working on a frame swap. I am buying a 91 Caprice Classic and will powdercoat the frame black to swap out this old frame, and in turn pick up overdrive as well!!
